Bohemian Fruitcake

1/4 lb butter
2 eggs
2 cup sugar
1 t vanilla
3 c flour
1/4 t soda
1/4 t baking powder
8 oz sour cream
1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice, drained from can
1 box chopped dates
1 bottle cherries - chopped
1 c chopped walnuts


Cream butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla. Add 1 c flour, soda and baking powder and mix well. Add sour cream and the juice alternately with the last 2 cups flour. Add the fruit and nuts. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees for one hour or until done (mine seem to take about 1 1/2 hours.)
